Old St. Mary’s Detroit Catholic Wedding / Subrina & Anthony

Subrina and Anthony’s August 16, 2025 wedding day was one we will always hold close to our hearts. From the very beginning of working together, they were two of the sweetest souls we’ve had the joy of serving - so deeply kind, faith-filled, and surrounded by an incredibly supportive and joyful community of family and friends. It truly made the entire wedding day such a gift to be part of.

Their story began on CatholicMatch, where their shared love for the faith quickly became the foundation of their relationship. One of the most special parts of this season was walking through engagement at the same time as Subrina and Anthony. Subrina and I were able to share in the excitement, the anticipation, and the prayers for one another as we prepared for our marriages - it made this wedding all the more meaningful for me personally.

The day began with a peaceful morning of getting ready at their venue, filled with laughter, anticipation, and those quiet, joyful moments that make a wedding morning so special. Before we knew it, we were making our way to Old St. Mary’s in downtown Detroit for their Nuptial Mass.

One of the most memorable moments of the entire day was just before the ceremony, when Subrina and Anthony took time to pray together in the grotto. Without seeing one another, they stood close, inviting the Lord fully into the covenant they were about to enter. It was such a powerful and intimate moment - one that beautifully reflected the heart of their relationship.

Their Nuptial Mass was, without a doubt, the most meaningful and inspiring part of the day. There is nothing quite like witnessing a couple receive the Sacrament of Marriage, and Subrina and Anthony’s reverence, joy, and love for the Lord was so evident. It is always encouraging to work with couples whose relationship reflects Christ so clearly.

Following Mass, we headed into wedding party photos, capturing the joy and excitement that carried throughout the day. The celebration continued into a beautiful reception filled with heartfelt speeches, meaningful moments, and a dance floor that perfectly matched the joy of the occasion. It was a night full of laughter, love, and true celebration of a marriage rooted in faith.

Subrina and Anthony, it was such an honor to walk alongside you during this season and to witness the beginning of your vocation as husband and wife. Your love for each other and for the Lord is something that will continue to inspire everyone who knows you. We are so grateful to have been a part of your day.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hejduk! May God bless your marriage abundantly!
